The Associate Director Strategy and Planning is responsible forpartnering with client services and other line functions to develop aninnovative trial strategy that differentiates Covance’s services andexpertise. Develops and maintains client relationships in order toacquire new business within defined Therapeutic Area(s). Works with theEx. Director to ensure annual growth and revenue targets are achieved.
? Drive and implement the bid proposal strategy to creating aninnovative solution to the clients needs thus increasing the win ratesin order to meet financial sales targets within assigned TherapeuticArea(s).
? Contribute to develop and implement innovative strategy, content andcosting of new business proposals taking into account the client’sbusiness needs and objectives.
? Work closely and collaborate with Business Development Director andOperational Trial Delivery partners for repeat clients to gain anunderstanding of the client’s perspective and needs in order toreinforce our alignment and relationship with the client.
? Develop strategy, content, and costing of business proposals forpre-existing clients taking into account the client’s business needs andobjectives.
? Partner together with internal stakeholders to modify strategy forfuture proposals as needed in order to ensure continued health of theportfolio.
? Prepare the bid defense presentation taking into account the client’sperspective and highlighting the Operational strategy.
? Participate in Project Reviews to understand areas of concern in orderto make necessary changes in strategy for future business opportunities.
? Consult with Ex. Director, Strategy&Planning to review andunderstand Sales plans and assist in their implementation.
? Maintain/develop good working relationships with clients to ensureopportunity for acquiring new and repeat business.
? Complete RFP’s to ensure they are competitive and delivered on time.
? Review Sales plans and assist in their implementation. Be availablefor sales calls and meeting, as needed.
? Perform other duties as assigned by management.
